I should have thought ahead last night... I need to load that little jump drive I have with a bunch of pictures I want to upload here and just do it during downtime at work. That way I can take all the time I need to fill out the story behind them and all that good stuff rather than wasting time with that part at home.
I also should get pictures of the art I actually MAKE up here. I have a few decent stitch pieces I'd like to show off, and that's about all the sort of art stuff I create.
On the random thought about creating things:
I think I will end up taking a welding class next fall or so. (Once things settle down and I get that whole free class thing thanks to work). I guess it's pretty spendy, even though UAF employees only have to pay for fees, since the supplies for welding are quite expensive- AND I'd like to get my own gear for it as well.
I would particularly like to do it though, mostly since I think it would be neat to do, and I'm curious what sort of sculptures I could create.
Call me Doc Nickle inspired or something.
I heard from one of the guys that he would bring in the rack from the moose he got this season. It's 42" and looks good from what he said! I'll have to snap a few pictures. I wonder if I can talk him into sharing...
I've been on the look out as I've been out in the woods for cool stuff like antler drops and stuff, since I'd like to try my hand at some carving. Nothing as of yet, but I havn't looked too closely. Feathers a'

lenty though. I'm hoping for a ptarmigan before the end of winter too. Those little grouse are good eating! YUM!
